I love making photographs and I really believe in the power of still images to challenge preconceptions and help us understand each other and the world around us. The photography shown here is a mixture of older work, much of which I shot during the years I worked in East Africa (2009 - 2017), alongside more recent projects.
I’m interested in identity, integration, community cohesion and issues around representation and power, and I’m particularly keen on exploring how to use participatory / collaborative approaches within photographic projects. To explore all this and develop my practice I’m currently studying for an MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at UAL. You can view some of this academic work on this site.
